I can't see anything!
Rx-Bandits.com
has many flash based components, therefore you'll need Macromedia
flash player (version 5.0 or later) in order to view the site. You
can download the latest version of flash for free at Macromedia's
Web Site
Furthermore,
the site was designed around a minimum resolution of 800x600, with
a preferable resolution of 1024x768. If the site looks rather strange
for whatever reason, it may because you are running at a lower resolution.
To check your resolution settings, check your display settings in
the control panel.
I can't
find the News Section... How do I navigate?
The
new menu on Rx-Bandits.com makes it easy to find what you're looking
for by categorizing every link into three categories. You will notice
these categories if you roll your mouse over the three circles in
the upper left corner. Learn contains links where you can find
out more information about the Rx Bandits, the site, or other current
news. Communicate is where you can find anything having to
deal with communication, from the message board, to photos/e-mails
of other fans. Finally, links in Experience deal with the band,
their history, their work, even downloads and photographs.
Along
with this newly reorganized menu, are the four links in the upper
right hand corner. These links are simple graphics displayed in HTML,
and allow users without flash to find their way to this section (which
in turn informs the user that they need flash). Other buttons include
a link back to the home page, a link to the mailing list, and a panic
button (which leads to the Google search engine).
The
idea behind the panic button is that in certain instances people need
to leave the site quickly (perhaps their boss is coming to look over
their shoulder, or they read something that made them want to leave
the site in disgust). Rather than close the browser (which is often
a harsh solution), they can just press the panic button and link to
a very commonly viewed site.
Finally,
the main page features quick links to the most popular sections of
the web site Why waste precious seconds dealing with the tree menu
buttons in the upper left hand corner when you can instantly link
to your favorite section of the site.
Can I contribute?
Yes.
We are constantly looking for input; from simply sending in a picture
for the "fan photos" section, to writing weekly editorials.
If you wish to become a contributor, get in
touch with Dave via e-mail or instant message.
All
contributors will receive credit for their submitted work (if
it is published)
Can I Use
Content Off Of Rx-Bandits.com On My Web site?
Yes
and no. Most of the downloads and images on Rx-Bandits.com are either
ours, or we got specific permission to use them. With that in mind,
there are certain limitations of what a user can take for their own
use. Any content with an author listed (i.e. editorials) is off limits;
that work is the intellectual property of its creator and cannot be
used without their permission.
Furthermore,
certain content was made/acquired specifically for use on Rx-Bandits.com
and cannot be taken (i.e. mp3s, buddy icons, screen savers, etc.).
This content is to be considered off limits as well, and specific
rights to use this content may be granted to certain appliqués
on a case to case basis.
Everything
else falls into a gray area and should be used with caution. If there
is doubt whether you can use something or not, make sure to clear
it with someone from the web site.
What do you
